SFPE NY Metro Members,
This message is an important update for the March Technical Seminar. Our SFPE NY Metro Board members have been monitoring the COVID-19 virus situation very closely along with the rest of the world.
The Board members have invested a lot of time and effort into scheduling and promoting the event, solicitation presenters and sponsors, and other event planning details; however, the health and wellbeing of our Chapter members is most important to us. Over the weekend the CDC has recommended that gatherings of more than 50 people be canceled/postponed. Based on the CDC recommendation and other factors, the Board has made the difficult decision to postpone the biennial SFPE NY Metro Technical Seminar that was scheduled for March 24, 2020.
The Board is working on rescheduling the event. However, due to the uncertainty in the current health climate, it is likely that the event will be postponed until the Fall of 2020. For those of you that have already registered for the event, we will honor those registration/payments once the event has been rescheduled. Please let the Board know if you would not like to maintain your registration for the rescheduled event and would like a full refund of the registration fees.
We please ask that you have patience during this unprecedented time, and that you understand that the SFPE NY Metro Board consists of volunteers that are working hard to ensure a successful and safe seminar. The Board will send out another message regarding the new event date/details.
